This winter we changed up our usual destination and have planned a trip WITHOUT the trailer! While we have met people who have shipped their campers overseas, we decided it wasn’t for us! In 10 days, we leave Canada and fly south to begin our time in New Zealand and Australia. It’s a trip of a lifetime and has been on my bucket list for many years. We’ll be renting cars (yes, Paul gets to drive on the left side of the road) and plan on lots of Airbnb’s, motels and a few hotels in larger centres. We’re planning on starting in Auckland, in the north island of New Zealand, then a flight to the South Island and by Feb 9 fly from Queenstown to Sydney where we spend another 5 weeks driving between Brisbane and Melbourne. We’re planning to finish up by getting on a ship back in Sydney, and spending 34 days coming back to North America, through the Panama Canal and landing in Miami where we catch a flight back home. In all, we’ll be gone 100 days, arriving back in time to scramble with our income tax returns before the end of April! Follow along as we travel.
